Ladies and Gents, this fashion battle is pure gold! Two gorgeous gals -- "The Other Guys" hottie Eva Mendes and "2012" star Thandie Newton -- both donned a metallic Vivienne Westwood dress for separate events on different continents। Question is ... did the Cuban-American bombshell or the English rose wear it better?

Eva Mendes hit geek-fest 2010 (aka Comic-Con) on July 23 to promote her action-comedy "The Other Guys." For the film's press conference, Mendes sported the formfitting strapless gown paired with matching metallic Casadei heels, simple jewelry, flawless makeup, and a sleek updo.
One month earlier, "The Pursuit of Happyness" actress Thandie Newton wore the same frock at the launch party for jewelry designer Solange Azagury-Partridge's new flagship store on Bond Street in London. Newton accessorized with Georgina Goodman strappy sandals, a black clutch, and delicate jewels from Azagury-Partridge herself.
As usual, we have a major dilemma here as both ladies look lovely! The metallic frock suits both stars' skin tones, and the two each earn points for letting the dress speak for itself by keeping their accessories to a minimum. If I have to choose -- and I know I do -- I'll pick Eva, just because she's positively smokin' in the glam golden gown.
